As I mentioned on my previous post, my favorite band is Coldplay. But since I don't want to be repetitive, I decided to write about Peter Gabriel.
This English singer-songwritter founded Genesis in 1967, but left the band eight years later and started his solo career.
In 1976, a year after departing from Genesis, Gabriel recorded his first solo album. His first solo success was the single Solsbury Hills, that is about a personal spiritual experience he had.
I don't remember exactly the first time I listened to one of his songs, but I'm sure it was years ago. What I do remeber is the song I listened to: In Your Eyes. Since then, it has been one of my favorites.
I really like this musician because his lyrics usually have a deep meaning. For instance, Don't Give Up is about the devastation of unemployment, and in Come Talk To Me he talks about his struggle to to get through one of his daugthers.
Maybe not many of you had heard of him before reading this post, but if you give him a chance you will probably enjoy his music as much as I do.

Peter Gabriel is a great singer! My dad loves him, so i hear their songs everyday.
